Avoiding the #1 mistake of leaving corporate to be an entrepreneur
So you want to be an entrepreneur? The number one mistake I made when I left corporate was not immediately defining my value proposition and being completely clear on who and what I stood for as a small business.
Not realising that I am no longer a figurehead in this industry that I had come from. I was then an outside consultant with my own business, a business my potential clients had no knowledge about. What was my value proposition that I was offering?
As the old marketing principle goes, “if you’re marketing to everyone, you’re marketing to no one.” So establishing who I was crucial. I’m now pretty passionate about helping others dodging the time and money consuming pitfalls like this that are easily avoidable.
